C. J. Wettstein wrote a sympathy message

“Linda & I would like to send our condolences and prayers to the family. Chuck was a great man that always had good for other people at the upmost goal in his life. The last time we saw Chuck and Mrs. McKinney was when we sat by them, the night, in Dodge City, when we were all doing our civic duty of appointing and voting in a new State Senator. Chuck will be missed as a person, and Chuck’s council will be missed forever. We will always remember chuck with a smile. C. J. & Linda Wettstein”
