He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Eugene and Ella Alice Theel (Mathies); his brothers-in-law, Gerald Clark and Farrell Gravitt; and his great-nephew Tyler Trieb.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Bergman; his children, Jennifer Lowe (Jeff) of Kansas City, Jason Theel of Meriden, Megan Pribyl (Jeff) of Olathe and Jessica Tiegreen (Tim) of Leawood; his grandchildren, Landon Pribyl, Avery Pribyl, Maxton Tiegreen, Liliana Tiegreen and Isabella Tiegreen; and his siblings, Ken Theel (Janie) of Emporia, Evelyn Clark of Branson, Lois Gravitt of Independence, Ruth Blake (Henry) of Topeka and Phyllis McDonald (Tim) of Saddlebrooke, Missouri. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
