She was loved and cherished by many people including: her family Virginia; her parents, Modesto Tavares and Juana Tavares; her husband Ambrose; her son William "Billy" Lopez (Melissa) of Sarasota, FL; her siblings, Frank Tabares, Ramona "Monie" Aguilar, Ignacio "Nacho" Tabares, Guadalupe "Lupe" Ryon and John Tabares; her daughter-in-law Mary Louise (Lopez); her siblings, Phyliss "Fili" Alvarado of Emporia, Ernestina Ramirez of Emporia, Mary "Mamie" Harris (Jim) of Emporia, Antonio "Toppy" Tabares (Mary) of Emporia and Margaret "Moggie" Henricks (Bill) of Emporia; and her children, Michael Lopez of Emporia, Mary Jane Moreno (Alfred) of Wichita, Barbara A. Tobar of Omaha, NE and Nancy Joan Smith (Scott) of Emporia. She was also cherished by 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
