It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Velma Marie Peak (Emporia, Kansas), born in McPherson, Kansas, who passed away at the age of 101, on February 22, 2020. She was predeceased by: her parents, Amby Wood and Hazel Buckman Wood; her spouse Olma Peak; and her sister Thelma Taylor. She is survived by: her children, Vic (Jan Peak) of Emporia, Scott (Jana Peak) of Emporia, Ginger Morris of Emporia and Chrysanne Haselhorst of Allen. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; and twenty-one great-grandchildren.

The family request no flowers with a memorial to be designated at a later date in care of the funeral home.
