Sylvia A. Wecker Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvia A. Wecker of Emporia, Kansas, who passed away on January 5, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Hagemann and Catherine Lawler Hagemann; and her siblings, Frank, Jerry Hagemann, Kathy Hagemann and Rose Marie Nichols.
She is survived by: her husband Darryl J. Wecker; her children, Brad Wecker (Melissa) of Olathe and Tiffany Simpson (Tyler) of Kansas City, Missouri; her grandchildren, Ellie Simpson, Aidan Simpson, Claire Wecker and Evan Wecker; and her brothers, Jim Hagemann of Wichita, Bill Hagemann of Wichita and Phillip Hagemann of Burlington.
A rosary was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home (605 State St, Emporia, KS 66801). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church (102 Exchange St, Emporia, KS 66801).
