With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Steven M. Bell in Emporia, Kansas, born in Lawrence, Kansas, who passed away on April 12, 2025 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Fletcher. He is survived by: his wife Lynne; his sons, Chris (Cassie) and Joe (Mariah); his mother Mona; his sister Nancy Kincaid (Steve); his stepdaughters, Nikolette Cochran (Adam) and Stephani Williams (Alex); his grandson Phoenix; and his pets, Isa and Eddie.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the University of Arkansas Study Abroad Program: World Languages, Literatures, and Cultures Departmental Scholarship, in memory of Dr. Steven M. Bell. Warren-McElwain provides a full range of services including burial, cremation in our own crematory, entombment, or body donation.
