It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Arlen Drummond of Emporia, Kansas, born in Strong City, Kansas, who passed away on August 20, 2020, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Drummond and Hazel Drummond (Counseller); and his siblings, Delores Lee, Vera Pierce, Donald Lee, Harry and Jerry Drummond.
He is survived by: his children, Christopher Burt of Missouri, Cassandra Burks and Laura Weiss of Missouri; and his siblings, Bill Drummond (Joann), Steve Drummond, Kathy Bernhardt (Sam) of Marion, KS and Becky Janousek (Doug).
Because of the nature of a graveside service, friends and family are invited to dress comfortably, wear a mask, and bring a lawn chair, while remembering social distancing.
A memorial has been established with the Chase County Veterans Memorial in Cottonwood Falls.
