She was predeceased by: her parents, George Hodges and Margaret Lucile Hodges (Rich); her husband Ira Burd (Bud); and her son Jerry Lee. She is survived by: her children, Ron Burd (Josie) of Wichita, KS, Craig Burd (Lois) of Emporia, KS, David Burd of Kansas City, KS, Jan Gerstner (Randy) of Emporia, KS and Diane Eldridge (Jeff) of Overland Park, KS; and her brothers, Duane Hodges (Marilyn) of Belle Plain, KS and Dale Hodges (Norma) of Emporia, KS.. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home (605 State St, Emporia, KS 66801). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Hartford Cemetery (2200 Rd 90, Hartford, KS 66854).
