He was predeceased by: his parents, William S. Hensley and Ora Bell Hensley (Stubbs); his daughter Sharon Rhodes; and his siblings, Charles Hensley, Esther Hensley, Virginia Hensley, Zella Flynn, Treva Morfitt, Dorothy Jones and Juanita Bartram.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Mae Gramke; his children, Michael Hensley of Topeka, Timothy Hensley of Emporia, Gregory Hensley of Emporia and Shannon Schumann of Emporia; and his brother Harold D. Hensley of Emporia. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
