She is survived by: her mother Karen Shaddix (Johnson) of Emporia, KS; her husband Robert Schmidt; her children, Stacie Sonnakolb (Eric) of Emporia, KS and Justin Schmidt (Amy Walsh) of Hudsonville, MI; her grandchildren, Ben, Emma Sonnakolb, Graham and Mackenzie Schmidt; her siblings, Cindy Schmidt (Brent) of Emporia, KS and Mike Shaddix (Ann); and her pet Axyl.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Charter Funerals (501 W 6th Ave, Emporia, KS 66801). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Embrace Church (428 Union St, Emporia, KS 66801).
