It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norma Jean Carey of Emporia, Kansas, who passed away on June 11, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Loy Monroe Barton and Mildred Barton (Walker); her children, LaWana Metcalfe (Rex) of Emporia and Kenneth Loy Carey (Julie) of Plattsburg, MO; her grandchildren, Rebecca Gunlock, Jessica Nimmo, Kenneth Robert Carey (Tonya), Samuel Carey (Samantha), Monica, Erica Baker, Tegan Heins, Zachary Benedict, Kimberlyn Gunlock, Kaydence Gunlock, Kennedy Gunlock, Kenneth Owen Carey, Hayden Carey, Easton Blake, Charli Blake, Mabel Haynes and Wrenley Beeman; and her siblings, Viola Hobbs and Robert Barton (Sam Carey). She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
