With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nellie Belle Owens (Emporia, Kansas), born in Windsor, Missouri, who passed away on May 7, 2020 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her brother Wayne McKinley Soles; her husband Bill Owens; and her son David Lee Owens. She is survived by: her sister Mardellya Mary Anders; her brother-in-law Dr. Leslie Anders; her brother Bailey Hoover Soles (Dolly Soles); her nephew Rev. Michael Soles; her sister-in-law Naomi Soles; her siblings, Charles Leonard Soles, Melbourne Dirling Soles, William Vernon Soles, Samuel Eugene Soles and Naomi Margaret Carter; her daughter Marilyn Schrock of Olathe, KS; her grandson Mark Hopkins; her children, Bridgette, Collin Hopkins, Dr. Neil Gross, Ava, Audrey, Jackson Gross, Tiffany Hartley, Kendry Wirzig, Talia, Noah Hartley and Mardellya Troyer (Mel); her granddaughter Traci Powers (Kevin); her great grandchild Avason Bae; her grandson Eric Worcester (Laura); her great grandchildren, Carter and Maya; her son Kenneth Owens; her grandchildren, Kelly Goodlow (Terrance) and John Owens (Katie); her great grandchildren, Elsie, Zoe, Melissa and Crowl (Nick); her daughter Ruth Owens-Jurgens (Mark); her grandson Jonathan Lewis (Chrisy); her great grandchildren, Whitney, Kenadie, Leanna, Andrew, Matthew Lewis, Rachael Jurgens and Jordan Moser; her child Lexus; and also, Ian, Caden, Harrison, Bridgit Jurgens and Cody Jurgens. She is also survived by her 4 children, 13 grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren.

A memorial has been established with the First Friends Church, Emporia.
