It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nellie Alice (Emporia, Kansas), born in Chanute, Kansas, who passed away on October 20, 2018, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Stowell and Cecil Stowell North; her daughter Mary Bateson; her great grandchild Layne; and her siblings, John Stowell and Nancy Bernard.
She is survived by: her spouse William Franklin Hamilton; her children, William F. Hamilton, Jr. of Coshocton, Thomas E. Hamilton of Emporia, Kansas, Joyce Stone Rachwitz of Englewood and Janet Wikel of Lawrence, Kansas; and her siblings, Jim Stowell of Pittsburg, Perry "Bear" North of Chanute, Kansas and Betty Wood of Chanute, Kansas.
