She was predeceased by: her parents, Melville Archer and Edna Snead Archer; her husband Norman Brinkman; and her siblings, Melville "Bud" Archer, Jr. and Helen June Vance.

She is survived by: her sons, James Brinkman of Olpe, John Brinkman (Jodi) of Olpe and Eric Brinkman (Lisa) of Olpe; her grandchildren, Mark Brinkman (Autumn), Matt Brinkman (Jessica), Erica Smith, Kyle Brinkman, Jake Brinkman, Aaron Brinkman (Jenna) and Jamie Swafford (Jennifer); and her sister Joan Shumate. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
