He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Taylor and Wauthena Jane Taylor; his sister Jane Rees; and his brother-in-law Norman Rees, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Brenda A. Richards; his daughter Monica Taylor; his grandchildren, Alyssa, Andon and Benzon Quirarte; his brother-in-law James Richards (Mary); his nephews, Nathan (Shelby), Jarrod (Sandie) and Ryan Richards; and his niece Kathleen Almy (David).
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (823 Merchant St, Emporia, KS 66801). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery (1351 Rd J, Emporia, KS 66801).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Emporia Friends of the Zoo or the Prairie Paws Animal Shelter, and sent in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, P.O. Box 175, Emporia, Kansas, 66801.
