It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marilyn Martha Smalley (Emporia, Kansas), who passed away on November 29, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fern W. Franzen and Barbara Franzen (Watts); her siblings, Gerold Franzen, Donald Franzen, Dean Franzen and Jackie Slocum; her great grandchild Nathan Arnold Smalley; her grandson Nathan Smalley; and her daughter-in-law Sharon F. Ewing.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Ewing of Emporia, Jerry Ewing (Sharon K.) of Marion, Curtis Smalley, Jr., Genevieve of Denver, CO, Barbara Powell (Brad) of Burlington, Joe Smalley (Colleen) of Paxico and Ricky Smalley of Topeka. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and 3 great great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the West Side Baptist Church (2200 Prairie St, Emporia, KS 66801).
