She was predeceased by: her parents, John Suess and Doris Dunbar Suess; and her sister Colleen Suess. She is survived by: her husband James Darrell Black of Emporia; her children, Conrad Black of Wake Forrest, Ryan Black of Dallas, Texas and Anna Black of Emporia, Kansas; her grandchildren, Jude Black, Zek Black, Levi Black, Shilo Black, Lottie Black and Titus Black; and her brothers, Tommy Suess of Toledo, Jeff Suess of Toledo and Casey Tabor of Costa Rica.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that a memorial gift be made to Twelfth Avenue Baptist Church.
