He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Selby and Aletha Selby; his brothers, Raymond and Loren Selby; and his son Jeffrey Wayne Selby.
He is survived by: his wife Melva Sue Hutchinson Selby; his daughters, Connie Dunbar (Dutch) of Emporia, Linda Crook (Todd) of Olpe and Terri Torres (Denise Byfield) of Emporia; his brothers, Leroy Selby of Emporia and Alvin Selby of Phoenix, AZ.; and his grandchildren, Chelsea Larson, Whitney King, Dustin Crook, Jimmy Crook, Chase Crook, Brandi Rodriguez, Matthew Torres, Jessica Selby, Jennessa Selby and Jordan Selby.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Charter Funerals (501 W 6th Ave, Emporia, KS 66801). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. An entombment was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Maplewood Memorial Lawn Cemetery (2000 Prairie St, Emporia, KS 66801).
