We bid farewell to Kenneth Harlan of Emporia, Kansas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 28, 2025 at the age of 99. Kenneth touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Harlan and Mae Harlan (Duby); his wife Evelyn Harlan; his daughter Karen Ferguson; his brother Merle Harlan; his son-in-law Mike Price; his grandson Dru Price; and his friend Rosalee Bennett.
He is survived by: his daughters, Peggy Maxfield (Terry) of Emporia, KS and Brenda Smith (Keith) of Lake Wabaunsee, KS; his grandchildren, Dane Price (Jaclyn), Kelly Maxfield (Kala), Jason Maxfield (Casy), Cody Maxfield (Lisa), Pam Ferguson and Darren Ferguson; his great grandchildren, Kynlee, Calvin, Shepheard, Ashton, Cason, Lily, Tyler and Lauren; and his great great grandchildren, D. J. and Ruby.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Charter Funerals - Emporia (501 W 6th Ave, Emporia, KS 66801). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Bethel Baptist Church (1300 W 12th Ave, Emporia, KS 66801).
