She was predeceased by: her parents, George S. Leiss and Velma Leiss (Richardson); her former husband Michel L. Kennedy, Sr.; her husband Michael; and her siblings, Jo Hutchinson and Garry Leiss.

She is survived by: her children, Dan Green (Kathleen), Mark Green (Stacy), Scott Green (Lori) and Cindy Sparks (Ted); her stepchildren, Michael Kennedy, Jr. and Victoria Kennedy; her grandchildren, Shealyn Crocombe (Kevin), Trevor Green, Sam Sparks, Shane Sparks (Jamie), Sarah Sparks, Olivia Green, Aaron Green and Emma Green; and her great grandchild Kai Crocombe.

A memorial has been established with the Emporia Arts Council.
