He was predeceased by: his father James Herrick; his stepfather Richard Ratzlaff; and his grandparents, Faye, Leo Herrick, Herbert and Dorris Mothersole.
He is survived by: his mother Annette Ratzlaff; his wife Tracy Herrick of Emporia; his children, Dugan Herrick of Emporia, Josie Herrick of Emporia and Haley Brinkman (Jake) of Emporia; his grandchildren, Rallend and Rosalyn Brinkman; and his siblings, Stephen Herrick of Houston, Texas and Farah Ferguson (Jim) of Hartford.
