We are sad to announce that on February 26, 2023, at the age of 93, George Kauffman Walters of Emporia, Kansas, born in Abilene, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry E. Walters and Stella M. Walters (Kauffman); his wife Martha Flo Kissell; and his brothers, Joseph and Clifford K. Walters.

He is survived by: his son Jon K. Walters; his daughter-in-law Robin of Houston, Texas; his grandsons, Zachary and Nathan; and his brother Harry Walters Jr. of Arvada, Colorado. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the George K. Walters scholarship fund at Emporia State University or the First United Methodist Church.
