He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Elmer and Mildred Marie Kunkel (Dixon); and his son Wesley Kunkel. He is survived by: his spouse Marcia Nunemaker; his son Ron Kunkel (Melanie) of Waverly; and his grandchildren, Dylan Kunkel and Hannah Kunkel.
