He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl McCracken and Cora Boothby McCracken; his wife Terry L. Carley; and his brothers, John McCracken and Edward McCracken.

He is survived by: his children, Brian McCracken of Emporia and Desiree Brunner (Mark) of Ramona; his grandchildren, Jake McCracken (Stephanie), John McCracken, Carley Smedley (Jase) and Throgmorton; his great grandchild Karsen McCracken; and his sister Margaret Johnson of Camarillo, Kansas..
