He is survived by: his children, Kenneth Saffer of Emporia and Pat Stutesman (David) of Pueblo; his grandchildren, Kendra Mooneyham and Laurie Grimmet; and his great grandchildren, Nichole Saffer, Dakota Mooneyham, Kalya Mooneyham, Alissa McManigal, Mathew Cherry and Taylor Grimmet.
