It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Jane Pearson in Emporia, Kansas, born in Council Grove, Kansas, who passed away on March 5, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Milam Hanson and Wilma Lucille Hanson (Reasoner); her husband Mel; her daughter Shelly; her brother Jim Hanson; her son Steven Pearson; her grandson Nathanial Pearson; and her great grandchild Bryce Becker.
She is survived by: her children, Scott Pearson (Marla) of Emporia, KS, Shawn Pearson (Krystee) of Rose Hill, KS and Susan Shade (Roy) of Council Grove, KS; her daughter-in-law Ellie Pearson of Wichita, KS; her sisters, Phyllis Kerr, Joplin and Mary Matthews (Roger) of Florence, AZ.; and her grandchildren, Kim Becker (Dane), Tyson Young (Jessica), Hilary Louvar (Geoff), Kristian Pearson (Elizabeth), Adam Pearson, Kelsey Parks (James), Chelsea Vibert (Matt), Ethan Pearson and Tarah Isbell (Tyler). She is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
