He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn Cooper (Reynard) and George Cooper; his son Dee Cooper; his brother Darrell Cooper; and his granddaughter Heather Estes.

He is survived by: his wife Sandy Cooper; his children, Denise Robinson of Kennewick, WA and Darren Cooper of Valley Center, KS; his stepdaughters, Sandy Estes of Americus, KS and Terri Hensley of Emporia, KS; and his brother Lanny Cooper of Chanute, KS. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
