He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Earl and Eileen Lenore Maley; his siblings, Kenneth Murlin Maley and Doris Marie Winn; and his granddaughter Christine Ashley Burdette.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Young; his children, Vickie Martin (Bob) of Hamilton, KS, Russell Burdette (Jackie) of Carroll, IA, John Robert Burdette Jr. of Emporia, KS and Steven Maley (Dolcie) of Americus, KS.; and his sister Donna Earlene Schlotterbeck of Hamilton Ks. He is also survived by 8 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
