It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Jean Mejia of Emporia, Kansas, who passed away on November 28, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Richardson (Hap) and Helen Richardson; her sister Linda Potter; and her children, Juanita Mejia and Chris Mejia.

She is survived by: her husband Philip Mejia Sr.; her children, Sheila Cook (Kevin), Philip Mejia (Bea), Tony Mejia (Pam) and Nicholas Carr; her siblings, Sue Arnold, Shirley Cook, Debbie Yokley, Diane TenEyck and Pete Richardson; her grandchildren, Keri, Justin, Brett of Laura, JT, Taran, Aaron, Daniel, Alex, Ryan, Nathan, Megan and Josh; and her pet Snowball. She is also survived by spouses; 22 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
