With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Jean Whitmore of Emporia, Kansas, born in Admire, Kansas, who passed away on April 23, 2023 at the age of 94. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Betty Jean Whitmore to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cleo Robert and Maude Marie Robertson (Hooper); her son Bruce Whitmore; and her siblings, Robert Robertson and Dorothy Whitmore.
She is survived by: her daughters, Shirley Jean Jones of Fairbanks and Sammy Whitmore (Skip Hoover); her granddaughter Stacie Lynn Jones; her great grandchild Austin Richard Ryman; and her nieces and nephews, Debbie Andrews (Shelly), Janet Robertson, Steve Whitmore and Tim Tatman.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Emporia Friends of the Zoo and sent in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.
