Betty Burns Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 19, 2021, at the age of 90, Betty Burns of Emporia, Kansas, born in Clinton, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Duerr and Margaret Duerr (Martin); her husband Robert W. Burns; and her sister Mary McIntire. She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Meenen (Doug) of Topeka and Diane Brownback (Pat Traylor) of Belle Fourche; her grandchildren, Matthew Meenen of Wichita, Michael Meenen (Madison) of Scranton, Sarah Meenen of Manhattan, Tanner Brownback of Spearfish, Trevor Brownback of Spearfish and Ashley Hizar (Levi) of Allen; and her great grandchildren, Aaron, Halle, Ava, Logan, Ayden and Teagan.
Memorial contributions may be made to Emporia Presbyterian Church Music Fund or the Emporia State University Athletic Department and sent in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.
