He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerhardt Schultz and Lucina Schultz (Schwerdtfeger); his great grandchild Chaunchai; his sisters, Faye Herlan and Hazel Bruning; and his daughter-in-law Peggy Schultz.
He is survived by: his wife Fern Nienke of Ellsworth; his sons, Roger Schultz of Ellsworth and Rob Schultz (Keith Haskamp) of Kansas City, MO; his grandchildren, Melissa Vongphakdy (Long) and Andy Schultz (Lynsey); his great grandchildren, Jazlynn, Owen Schultz, Vincent and Donovan Vongphakdy; and his siblings, Donald Schultz (Pat) of Topeka, KS and Gloria Krob of Fort Collins, CO..
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Parsons Funeral Home (307 N Lincoln Ave, Ellsworth, KS 67439). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (905 Stanberry St, Ellsworth, KS 67439). A burial was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at the Ellsworth Memorial Cemetery (915 E 8th St, Ellsworth, KS 67439).
