With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lewis Edward McAtee of Ellsworth, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 9, 2025 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lewis Edward McAtee to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Carol Daniels; his parents, Frank McAtee and Bernice McAtee (Talsky); his brother Frank McAtee Jr.; and his son Jeff McAtee.
He is survived by: his wife Cindy White McAtee; his children, Jennifer Fleming (Steve) of Kansas City, MO, Machelle Van Trump (Randy) of Grain Valley, MO, Jamie McAtee (Kim) of Manhattan, KS, Natasha Crawford (Lynn) of Lansing, KS, Kris Thompson (Elena) of Annandale, VA and Brooke Boland (Kevin) of Andover, KS; and his brothers, Patrick McAtee (Sandy) of York and Mike McAtee (Sue) of New Castle. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (405 N Lincoln Ave, Ellsworth, KS 67439). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Ellsworth, Ellsworth County Hospital, or the Ellsworth Golf Course, causes that were close to Lew's heart.
