He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Johnson and Gail Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Mary Kathleen "Kathy" Hudson; his children, Travis Johnson (Samantha) of Fort Collins, CO, Justin Johnson (Amy) of Ellsworth, Mandy Burger (Jerome) of Sylvan Grove, KS and Kathleen Dillon (Chad) of Berthoud, CO; and his grandchildren, Marlana, Byron, Madalyn, Aidan, Mallory, Carsyn, Christopher, Alexander, Stella and Karl "Wylder". He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
A memorial service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Parsons Funeral Home (307 N Lincoln Ave, Ellsworth, KS 67439). A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ellsworth American Legion.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you take time to share a meal with loved ones, cast a line at your favorite fishing spot, or plant something in your garden in Carl's memory, his favorites were tomatoes and jalapenos.
