He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Waldschmidt and Pauline Waldschmidt (Boos); his siblings, Jack Waldschmidt and Catherine Rodriguez; and his siblings-in-law, Dick Walters and Joyce Waldschmidt.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy (Helget); his daughters, Denise Jeffus (Michael) of Hays, Andrea Wolf (Jack) of Ellis and Wendy Honas (Randy) of Ellis; his siblings, Leo Waldschmidt of Wichita and Marilyn Walters of Walla Walla, Washington; his grandchildren, Andy Jeffus, Aaron Jeffus, Haley Wolf, Taylor Honas, Samuel Honas and Toby Honas; and his siblings-in-law, Dick Rodriguez of Rolla and June Waldschmidt of Derby, Kansas..
Due to Covid concerns the Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church and Burial at the Kansas State Veterans' Cemetery in WaKeeney will be private family only.
