She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Hoffman and Margaret Hoffman (Feltis); her husband Paul Flax; her son Jerome; and her sisters, Mercedes Huslig (Arthur), Anna Koester and Mary Lawrence.
She is survived by: her daughter Julia Hillman; and her grandchildren, Angela Flax Olathe (Geoff Martin), Dustin Mattheyer Ellis (Mara), Audrey Bates Ellis (Noel), Mathew Flax Salina (Amanda Armstrong), Jessica Cooper Topeka (Bryan) and Preston Mattheyer WaKeeney (Jamie). She is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Mary's Cemetery Fund.
