He is survived by: his wife Gayle Gilpin of Ellis; his mother Mary Reinhart (Cannon) of Russell; his stepsons, Shane Buchholz (Amy), Charlie Martin (Yi-Tan) of Glendale and Tyler Watson of Manhattan, Kansas; his siblings, Joe Ernst (Tessa Meis) of Wilson, Kansas and Kay Ickler (Steve) of Russell; his siblings-in-law, Carla Stiles (Michael) of Hill City, Kansas and Tom Kacsanek of Glendale, Arizona; and his grandchildren, Jordyn Buchholz, Andrea Buchholz, Trinten Ernst, Matthew Ernst, Harper Buchholz, Leighton Buchholz, Haven Watson and Annistyn Watson. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
