With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gayle L. Ernst of Ellis, Kansas, who passed away on March 12, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Gene and Lila Lee Gilpin (Smith); her husband Greg Ernst; her son Lucas; and her sister Linda.
She is survived by: her sons, Shane Buchholz (Amy), Charlie Martin (Yi-Tan) of Glendale and Tyler Watson of Manhattan, Kansas; her sister Carla Stiles (Michael) of Hill City, Kansas; and her grandchildren, Jordyn Buchholz, Andrea Buchholz, Trinten Ernst, Matthew Ernst, Harper Buchholz, Leighton Buchholz, Haven Watson and Annistyn Watson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and special friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to: The Humane Society of the High Plains in care of the funeral chapel.
