He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Zachman and Mary Zachman (Armbrister); his grandson Evan Henderson; and his siblings, Oscar Zachman, Raymond Zachman, Wayne Zachman, Anna Hamburg and Frieda Allphin.

He is survived by: his wife Adabelle Zachman of Ellis, KS; his children, Darrell Zachman (Annie) and Diane Henderson (Floyd Henderson); his grandchildren, Erin Rogers (Jerry) of Hedgesville, WV, Micah Kruckenberg (Casey) and Amanda Dolechek (Luke); his great grandchildren, Isaac Rogers of Ellis, KS and Christian Rogers of Hedgesville, WV.; and his siblings, Martha Massier of Ellis, KS, Dorothy Dietz (Milton) of Hays, KS, Helen Deines (Don) of Wakeeney, KS. and Harry Zachman of Wichita, KS..
