He was predeceased by: his father John Ray. He is survived by: his mother Karen Arlene Hamby (Frank) of Ellinwood, KS.; his children, Todd Hamby (Sarah Fox) of Ellinwood, KS, Kenny Hamby (Kathleen Bush) of Ellinwood, KS, Cassie Hamby (James Midgard) and Jerry Hamby (Kimberly) of Meadville, PA; and his siblings, Elva Mitchell of Ellinwood, KS, Connie Jenks (Jack) of Ellinwood, KS and Kevin Hamby (Jennifer) of Great Bend, KS. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, numerous Nieces/Nephews, Great Nieces/Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

A reception was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Minnis Chapel (113 N Main St, Ellinwood, KS 67526). The inurnment was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Lakin-Comanche Cemetery.
