She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Handlin and Wanda Handlin (Burkett); and her former husband Gene Cooper. She is survived by: her husband Bob Smith; and her son Robert Smith of Las Vegas, Nevada.. She is also survived by two brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
