He was predeceased by: his mother Virginia Ann Koonce (Higel). He is survived by: his father Lloyd Raymond (Patty) of Albuquerque, NM.; his wife Robin Koonce of Elkhart, KS.; his children, Dawnee Rae Raskin (Jeremy) of Hudson, CO. and Ty Koonce (Carrie Jo) of Pampa, TX.; his grandchild Colt Raskin of Hudson, CO.; and his sister Kelly Koonce of Albuquerque, NM.. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Masks are recommended per the Kansas Mask Mandate.

A memorial has been established for Elkhart FFA or Morton County Fair Association.
