He was predeceased by: his parents, William Forrest and Dorothy Forrest (Longacre). He is survived by: his wife Sally; his children, Susan Forrest, Kathy Shum (Jim), Bill Forrest (Sarah) and Shery Crater (TJ); his grandchildren, Blake Forrest, Gretchen Shum, Joshua Shum, Carter Forrest and Baylee Crater; and his sister Janice Simmons (Tom).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in honor of Bill Forrest to Butler Community College Foundation.
