He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Koerner and Rosie Koerner; and his grandchildren, Gabriella and Micah Koerner. He is survived by: his wife Helen of El Dorado; his children, Kristi Girrens (Troy) of Spring Hill, Stephanie Koerner of McPherson, Kyle Koerner (Susan) of Shawnee and Whitney Koerner (Nick) of Naples, Florida.; his grandchildren, Zachary Girrens (Brooke) of Washington and Emily Girrens (Savannah) of Overland Park, Kansas.; and his siblings, Max Koerner of Shell Knob, Missouri, Ben Koerner of Wichita, Kim Copeland of Wichita and Jim Koerner of Wichita.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions will be made to support animal welfare and/or St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of El Dorado.
