Leonor Lara Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 30, 2025, at the age of 82, Leonor Lara (El Dorado, Kansas) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Leonor is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Leonor's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Andres Lara and Juana Lara (Maldonado); and her siblings, Pedro Lara, Teresa Valadez, Mary Socorro Henderson, Victor Lara, Raymond Lara and Rachel Lara. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A rosary was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (302 N Denver St, El Dorado, KS 67042). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Sunset Lawns Cemetery (2100 Sunset Rd, El Dorado, KS 67042).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church or the Altar Society.
