We bid farewell to John Dennis Jackson of El Dorado, Kansas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 18, 2024 at the age of 94. John touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fannie Lee (Steadham) and Robert Lee Jackson; his siblings, Charles Jackson, Ida Jenkins, Louise Keeney and Clara Hill; his son-in-law Alfred Dewayne Fleming; and his granddaughter Grace Ann Windholz.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Jackson (Cairns); his children, Tamara Fleming of Deatsville, AL, Shirley Windholz (Wesley) of Augusta and Thane Thompson (Chris Whittaker) of Cincinnati, OH; his grandchildren, Stefannie Randall (Justin), Ashley Fleming, Caleb Fleming (Melissa), Megan Gyetvai (John Paul), Michael Windholz, Marcus Windholz (Deanna), Mackenzie Windholz (Scott Ferris), Cactus Thompson and Karsyn Thompson; and his great grandchildren, Waverlee Randall, Jackson Randall, Emberlee Randall, Myles Fleming, Joska Gyetvai (Haley), Janos Gyetvai, Lukacz Gyetvai, Sabine Gyetvai, Clayton Windholz, Kamryn Windholz, Brynn Windholz, Charley Marie Windholz, Landon Carter and Addyson Windholz.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Headley Funeral Chapel (813 State St, Augusta, KS 67010). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Trinity United Methodist Church (430 Eunice, El Dorado, KS 67042). A burial will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at the Elmwood Cemetery (501 12th Ave, Augusta, KS 67010).
