He was predeceased by: his parents, James Austin and Betty Lou Austin (Bailey). He is survived by: his wife Linda Korinek; his children, Vanessa, Carmodee, Cam, JayDee, Jeff and Vickie; his stepchildren, Dalton, Dameon, Shannon and Brandon; his great grandchild Richard Lee Manion "Bubby"; and his siblings, Diana, Darcy, Donna, Debbie, Jerry and Johnny.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Trinity United Methodist Church or to Linda Austin to begin a trust fund for Bubby, Jim's great grandson.
