She was predeceased by: her parents, Loren Daniel Shepard and Juanita Alice Hatfield; her husband Carl Owen Jr.; her daughter Kara Lee Owen; and her brother Lewis Shepard.
She is survived by: her children, Matthew C. Owen (Judy) of Hamilton, Kansas and Carol E. Harris (Kurt) of Independence, Kansas; and her grandchildren, Elishya Johns (Matt) of Independence, Kansas, Erika Smith (Isaac) of Independence, Kansas and Clay Owen (Jessie) of Emporia, Kansas. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
