He is survived by: his wife Ludmila Kubicek of Dubuque; his children, Alena Britten (Michael) of Crystal Lake, Libor Kubicek (Lesley) of Manassas, VA, Aleš Kubicek of Madison, WI, Jolana Kubicek of Niedermohr, Germany and Robert Kubicek (Eva Kirstenova) of Colorado Springs, CO; his grandchildren, Kiley (Ruadhan), Dorian, Viktor, Julian and Rebeka; and his sister Helena Plíhal (Josef) of Sopotnice. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
