It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Rosina Wessel (Effingham, Kansas), born in Seneca, Kansas, who passed away on June 4, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Grollmes and Helen Grollmes (Gudenkauf); and her siblings, Francis Grollmes, Alice Frakes, Helen Grollmes and Sarah Grollmes.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Wessel (Peggy) of Baldwin City, KS, Pat Wessel (Lisa) of Valley Falls, KS, Judy Jackson (Tony) of Lancaster, KS, Linda Kearney (Tony) of Atchison, KS and Marlene Westermann (Mark) of Everest, KS; her brother Leo Grollmes of Winchester, KS; and her siblings-in-law, Tom Wessel (Connie) and Virginia Grollmes. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Ann's Church and may be left in care of the funeral home.
